Un Tintico en Los Cerros (A Coffee in the Mountains) is a zine conceived as an accessible and engaging exploration of Colombia’s coffee culture, with a particular focus on Bogotá. The project uses visual narratives to inform readers while celebrating the everyday rituals and traditions surrounding coffee in the city.

The art direction is born in the tension between mountains and concrete that defines Bogotá’s landscape. The color palette references the city’s flag, while elevation markers placed on the right hand pages trace shifts in altitude, guiding readers through a visual journey that culminates at Bogotá’s iconic height of 2,625 meters above sea level.

This editorial is an ode to my hometown, its identity, traditions, and the cultural significance of coffee as a national symbol and shared social practice.
