HI! I’M LAURA

Colombian creative director, designer, and photographer focused on visual narratives.

My process begins with a sensitive approach to image production and an understanding of design as a critical medium. I work across cultural, exhibition, and editorial projects, with a particular interest in conceptual development, editing, and layout design. I am interested in expanding this approach into print and audiovisual formats, exploring image and video direction and editing in hybrid pieces that question and expand how stories are constructed and told.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bogotá, Colombia

    Responsible for creative and strategic leadership, defining conceptual guidelines and visual systems, coordinating editorial and creative teams, and representing the company in concept meetings for a dual literacy educational project with McGraw Hill.

  • Madrid, Spain

    Responsible for managing creative projects and leading creative direction for digital content, exhibitions, and events, including exhibition design and installation, spatial narrative, and social design in collaboration with the local community.

  • Madrid, Spain

    Leader in the development of design strategy and cultural design consultancy for the collective’s positioning, overseeing visual identity and promotional materials, increasing visibilityand strengthening its cultural positioning in Madrid.

  • Madrid, Spain

    Co-founder of a multicultural design studio shaped by immigrant perspectives, situated at the intersection of exhibition, social, visual, and editorial design. The studio operates as a space for critical exploration and thought-provoking work. Its creative vision is informed by decolonial, feminist, and queer theory, using design as a tool to question dominant narratives and approach creation as a negotiation with its context.
