Creative direction / Interaction design / 2025
With a main focus on inclusive interaction design, Sana is a video game created for elderly players (70+), advocating for accessibility through storytelling and sensory engagement.
Designed for iPad and large tablet formats, the game prioritizes visual clarity and accessibility, supporting players with visual impairments and varying levels of technological proficiency. Through the art direction, and the integration of visual, auditory, and haptic elements, Sana fosters cognitive stimulation and emotional immersion for a demographic often overlooked in gaming.
To support this visual and experiential language, AI-driven tools such as DALL-E, Midjourney, and Luma were integrated into the creative process to explore new possibilities in audiovisual motion design. These tools supported the development of cohesive environments and interaction systems, ensuring consistency between the game’s artistic vision and player experience.
The game flow was designed to remain simple and engaging, with approximately 20 minutes of gameplay. Sana aims to entertain, accompany, and cognitively stimulate older players, opening up space for them in the gaming industry. The project demonstrates how thoughtful game design can expand emotional engagement while redefining inclusivity in interactive media.
The trailer introduces the emotional tone and visual language of Sana, highlighting the relationship between environment, character movement, and sensory interaction. Motion and pacing reflect the calm and contemplative rhythm of the gameplay, reinforcing the focus on empathy and accessibility.

Warm color palettes, soft lighting, and simplified visual compositions support clarity and comfort. Character design emphasizes expression and emotional identification, while landscapes support contextualization and encourage slow exploration. The game consistently keeps its audience in mind, reinforcing the inclusion of older players in a way that feels meaningful and respectful, without diminishing their capabilities.
The selective use of darker tones during the fracture introduces a deliberate visual contrast, marking the game’s primary moment of tension and creating a clear emotional and atmospheric distinction. Together, these elements form a cohesive visual language that prioritizes immersion without overwhelming players, while complementing the storytelling.
