This newsletter is guided by a creative direction that revisits the language of the early 2000’s as a cultural lens. Drawing from the graphic and typographic codes of the era, the project frames design as a way to reflect on how music media shaped identity and community at the beginning of the century. Through an intentional use of mixed media, typography, and duotone image treatments as signs of the times, Cassette Groove translates the sound of an era into visuals that engage with the cultural production of the 2000’s.

Centered on the history and legacy of Queen, the publication positions nostalgia and the analogue as a counterpoint to today’s fast paced production landscape.
